Valiant's Advanced Learning & Readiness Business Awarded $25.4M Contract to Support the U.S. Marine Corps with Trackless Mobile Infantry Targets Across the Globe

Herndon, VA – November 5, 2020Valiant and its Live & Constructive Training division, which is part of the company’s Advanced Learning and Readiness strategic business unit, today announced the award of the Trackless Mobile Infantry Targets (TMIT) task order under the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Training Support Services (MTSS) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, out of the Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) in Orlando, Fla. As part of the two-year contract, valued at $25.4 million, Valiant will provide TMITs to the U.S. Marine Corps in Camp Lejeune, N.C., Camp Pendleton, Calif., Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Camp Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan, and the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

In partnership with Marathon Targets, this further expands Valiant’s support of Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) and Training & Education Command (TECOM). A key focus of Valiant’s support will entail the use of autonomous robotic moving targets, which facilitates for the creation of tactical live fire scenarios capable of simulating realistic combat environments. The result is a refined development of enhanced combat skills, previously only attainable in force-on-force training.

This is Valiant’s second award under the current IDIQ and further expands the company’s support to PM TRAYSYS. Valiant has participated in the MTSS IDIQ contracts since the original one was awarded in 2003.
